Occasional showers persisting through the evening and overnight for coastal parts of East Anglia, but otherwise becoming dry and largely clear with temperatures falling to give some rural frost. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Friday:

A cold start Friday with showers for East Anglia fading and some early mist patches clearing to give a fine bright day with lighter winds and plenty of sunshine. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Staying fine and bright Saturday before turning increasingly cloudy and breezy into Sunday but temperatures warming. More unsettled into Monday with some rain possible.

Cloud and outbreaks of rain, perhaps heavy in places, are expected to affect some northern areas at the start of this period. Further south, it is likely to be dry with spells of sunshine. Temperatures will mainly be close to average for the time of year. Through the middle and latter part of next week high pressure will begin to become more dominant, with dry and at times sunny conditions spreading across the majority of the UK. Temperatures during the day will probably be above average in many areas, although some cold nights are also possible. This pattern will probably persist through the rest of this period, although by late September there is a chance that more unsettled conditions may begin to develop.

Typical Autumn weather will probably affect the UK with a mix of weather types during late September and early October. Periods of wet, unsettled weather will likely be broken up by some spells of more settled, drier weather. Overall, the wettest conditions will probably be in the west with the east drier. Temperatures are most likely to be close to or slightly above average.
