High 1032 centred near Fastnet on Saturday evening will transfer north, expected over Malin 1034 from midday Sunday and extending a ridge northeast into the Norwegian Basin. High then gradually drifts northeast from Monday onwards, into Rockall and then into the Atlantic. A trough over Iceland at first moves east on Saturday towards Faeroes before clearing to the northeast into the Norwegian Basin on Sunday. Shallow low 1018 which develops over Norway will sink south into the eastern North Sea on Tuesday. Strong winds and near gales are expected across Viking, North Utsire, South Utsire, Forties, Dogger, Fisher, German Bight and Fair Isle on Saturday evening, but will ease for all areas overnight. No further strong winds or gales are expected in any of the sea areas for the remainder of the forecast period, however extensive sea fog is possible for the northern North Sea for a time on Tuesday


Niton

High 1032 centred near Fastnet on Saturday evening will transfer north, expected over Malin 1034 from midday Sunday and extending a ridge northeast into the Norwegian Basin. High then gradually drifts northeast from Monday onwards, into Rockall and then into the Atlantic. A trough over Iceland at first moves east on Saturday towards Faeroes before clearing to the northeast into the Norwegian Basin on Sunday. Shallow low 1018 which develops over Norway will sink south into the eastern North Sea on Tuesday. Shallow low pressure across Iberia affects southern Fitzroy and Biscay throughout the forecast period. Strong winds or near gales are expected in Fitzroy throughout, and also in Biscay from Saturday until Monday. No gales or strong winds are expected in any of the other sea areas during the forecast period. Extensive sea fog is not expected to affect the region either


Portpatrick

Shallow low 1018 which develops over Norway will sink south into the eastern North Sea on Tuesday. Strong winds or near gales are expected in Fair Isle and Faeroes from Saturday evening, but easing in Fair Isle on Sunday morning and easing in South East Iceland later on Sunday. No further strong winds or gales are expected elsewhere for the remainder of the forecast, however extensive sea fog is possible for northern sea areas at times throughout the period
