Any early bright spells becoming increasingly limited as cloud builds through the morning. Rain arriving from the west, then spreading southeast later in the afternoon. Winds strengthening with coastal gales later. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Remaining cloudy overnight with outbreaks of rain moving eastwards. Windy to start, particularly at western coasts, although easing through the early hours. Milder than Friday night. Minimum temperature 15 °C.

Sunday:

A cloudy start for many with outbreaks of rain at times. Turning brighter from the northwest with sunny spells through the afternoon. Winds easing and temperatures a little above average. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

More widely cloudy on Monday with patchy rain possible. Brighter on Tuesday and Wednesday with sunshine and showers. Breezy at times, and milder to start but temperatures returning to average.

Winds generally light to start, but possibility of stronger winds in the far northwest. More changeable and unsettled weather is likely to continue into the weekend with the wettest conditions in the northwest, drier in the southeast. There is a high chance that these unsettled conditions will spread further south with stronger winds becoming widespread. Confidence surrounding the timing and location of the most unsettled weather is low. Temperatures likely to be above average overall, perhaps very warm at times in the south, though some cool nights and chance of early fog.

Settled, drier spells are more likely towards northern parts, whereas the south may possibly receive above average rainfall.
