UK long range weather forecast

A largely settled start to the period with dry, widely cloudy conditions, but with a possibility of some frequent showers in the northwest. Winds generally light to start, but possibility of stronger winds in the far northwest. More changeable and unsettled weather is likely to continue into the weekend with the wettest conditions in the northwest, drier in the southeast. There is a high chance that these unsettled conditions will spread further south with stronger winds becoming widespread. Confidence surrounding the timing and location of the most unsettled weather is low. Temperatures likely to be above average overall, perhaps very warm at times in the south, though some cool nights and chance of early fog.

Updated:

A slowly evolving weather pattern is considered more likely through this period, though with a typical mix of settled and unsettled spells of weather. Settled, drier spells are more likely towards northern parts, whereas the south may possibly receive above average rainfall. Temperatures are more likely to be above average than below average overall, but with chilly nights in settled conditions.
