Another generally cloudy day but brightening up in places, with the best of the sunshine probably across Cumbria. Still rather breezy along the coast, but light winds elsewhere. Feeling cooler. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Tonight:

Any clear spells filling in leaving another cloudy night. Remaining largely dry but the odd spot of drizzle developing over higher ground. Turning rather chilly where any cloud breaks persist. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Saturday:

Another predominantly dry and cloudy day but sunny intervals breaking through in places. The chance of some drizzly rain developing later, especially during the evening. Feeling rather cool. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Cloudy and damp for much of Sunday, though brighter later. Generally dry on Monday and Tuesday with sunny spells though cloudier at times. Chance of frost and fog overnight.

Likely still a good deal of dry weather during the middle of next week. Most areas should be largely dry with a good chance of sunny spells but also scope for overnight frost in clearer areas. The influence of high pressure is likely to decline through the course of next week with an increasing chance of showers or longer spells of rain, initially more likely in the east. However, there is currently significant uncertainty in how quickly conditions turn more unsettled. Thereafter, likely more mixed conditions conditions with some wetter, windier weather at times but also some drier interludes bringing the chance of morning fog patches. Temperatures overall around average though with potential for some rather cold spells.

Signals vary in prevailing weather patterns through this period but likely more unsettled than during early November. There is a greater chance of more mobile weather patterns which would see Atlantic systems periodically move across the country. These bringing some wetter and windier interludes followed by drier periods. The wettest conditions likely across the northwest of the country with drier weather across the southeast. Some colder interludes possible but overall temperatures more likely to be around or above average.
