Mainly dry with most areas seeing some sunshine, best over north Aberdeenshire and along Moray coast. More cloud and a few spots of drizzle over south and west Aberdeenshire. Brisk south or southwest breeze. Milder. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Tonight:
Dry for much of the night with still some clear periods. Thickening cloud and patchy light rain will edge across from the west late tonight with fresh southerly winds. Minimum temperature 3 °C.
Tuesday:
Cloudy much of the morning but any light rain at first soon dying out. It will brighten up later in the morning with sunny spells in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Dry, bright much of Wednesday with strong southwest winds. Rain crossing overnight then drier, brighter, colder on Thursday. Mainly dry, rather cloudy weather returning on Friday with strong westerly winds.

Into the weekend high pressure in the southeast and low pressure in the northwest will lead to a continuation of this north to south split in conditions across the UK. For the rest of the period, there will likely be a continuation of predominantly dry and settled weather across most parts of the UK, especially the south. Some rain and strong winds are likely in the northwest at times. Temperatures overall likely to be close to average.
