Inshore waters and strong winds

General situation

An area of low pressure currently centred over the North Sea will move away slowly southwards during the next 24 hours, while at the same time an area of high pressure remains slow-moving to the west of the United Kingdom. This will maintain a north to northwesterly airflow across the British Inshore Waters. Occasional strong winds will affect some waters, with rain and showers gradually becoming restricted to eastern areas.
